Phillip Cook and Heather Jennings are Trout And Heather. Our art and craft business comprises a mixture Heather’s traditionally made treenware (kitchen and household items made from wood), with Phillip’s collages of vintage trout fishing memorabilia.

We operate from a retail/studio space on the main road in Waipawa, Central Hawkes Bay. Along with our own work we feature a mix of handcrafted textile arts, collectible artifacts, antique furniture and an eclectic book collection.

Visitors can watch Phillip assembling his trout fishing collages or his handmade boxes and see Heather operating her treadle powered pole lathe, on which she produces all her woodturning, or working on a hand carved item.

We are always happy to chat with people about our work, trout fishing, books and little white fluffy dogs, while sharing a pot of green tea.
